Returns and Refunds Policy

At PARPLAY Golf, we want you to feel confident purchasing from us. We carefully inspect and accurately describe our new and pre-owned golf equipment before it is listed for sale.

This policy applies to products purchased through PARPLAY Golf. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrectly Described Products

Please contact us if your item:

  • Arrives damaged
  • Is faulty
  • Is significantly different from its product description
  • Is not the item you ordered
  • Is not fit for its normal or agreed purpose

Please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue. For courier damage, we recommend contacting us within 48 hours and keeping the packaging so we can raise a claim with the courier. This 48-hour request does not remove any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.

When contacting us, please provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs or video showing the product and problem
  • Photographs of the packaging if the item arrived damaged

If the problem is minor and can be remedied, PARPLAY may choose to repair, replace or refund the item. If the problem is serious, or cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to reject the product and request a replacement or refund under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Pre-Owned Golf Clubs and Equipment

Pre-owned products may show reasonable signs of previous use, including cosmetic marks, scratches, paint wear, shaft wear or grip wear.

We provide actual photographs and condition information wherever practical. Any visible damage or known fault disclosed in the product listing is considered part of the product’s stated condition and is not, by itself, grounds for a return.

However, pre-owned products purchased from PARPLAY are still covered by applicable New Zealand consumer law. Their age, price, stated condition, disclosed wear and intended use will be considered when determining whether they are of acceptable quality.

Change-of-Mind Returns

New, unused products

New products may be returned within 14 days of delivery for an exchange or store credit, provided that:

  • The product is unused and in resalable condition
  • All labels, packaging and accessories are included
  • Shoes and apparel have only been tried on indoors
  • The customer provides proof of purchase
  • The product is not excluded under this policy

Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is the customer’s responsibility. Original delivery charges are not refundable.

Pre-owned products

Because every pre-owned club and item has its own specifications and condition, PARPLAY does not generally accept change-of-mind returns for:

  • Pre-owned golf clubs
  • Pre-owned shafts or components
  • Used golf balls
  • Pre-owned headcovers
  • Clearance or final-sale products

Please review the product photographs, specifications, shaft flex, loft, length, handedness and condition before ordering.

New Zealand businesses are not generally required to accept a return where the customer has simply changed their mind, unless the business has offered a change-of-mind policy.

Custom, Personalised and Special-Order Products

The following cannot be returned because of a change of mind:

  • Custom-engraved or personalised products
  • Custom paint-fill work
  • Restored or refinished clubs
  • Clubs altered through regripping, reshafting, cutting or adjustment
  • Special-order or Club Finder products sourced specifically for a customer

This exclusion does not apply where a product or service is faulty, incorrectly supplied, materially different from what was agreed, or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

PARPLAY 90-Day Protection

Where a customer has purchased optional PARPLAY 90-Day Protection, the additional protection applies according to the terms supplied at purchase.

It may cover eligible defects arising during normal use within 90 days. It does not cover:

  • Accidental damage
  • Normal cosmetic wear
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repair or alteration
  • Damage caused by incorrect storage or maintenance
  • Faults or wear disclosed before purchase

PARPLAY 90-Day Protection is an additional benefit. It does not replace or limit any rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act, which may apply regardless of whether additional protection was purchased.

When a Return May Be Declined

A return or remedy may be declined where:

  • The customer has simply changed their mind and the item is not eligible under our change-of-mind policy
  • The issue was clearly disclosed before purchase
  • The customer caused the damage through misuse, accident or improper care
  • The product was altered or repaired by someone else before PARPLAY had an opportunity to assess it
  • Reasonable wear is consistent with the stated condition of a pre-owned item
  • No product fault or breach of consumer guarantees is identified

Return Process

To request a return:

  1. Contact us at info@parplay.co.nz
  2. Provide your order number, details of the issue and supporting photographs.
  3. Wait for return instructions before sending the item.
  4. Package the item securely using suitable protective packaging.
  5. Include all accessories supplied with the product where reasonably possible.

Please do not send products back without first contacting us.

Once received, we will inspect the item and notify you of the outcome. Inspection time will depend on the nature of the product and issue.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

Please allow up to seven business days after approval for PARPLAY to process the refund. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time before the funds appear in your account.

Shipping charges may also be refunded where required by New Zealand consumer law.

Exchanges

For eligible new products, you may request an exchange or store credit.

Because many pre-owned clubs are unique and have a stock quantity of one, an identical replacement may not be available. Where appropriate, we may offer:

  • A repair
  • A comparable replacement
  • Store credit
  • A partial refund
  • A full refund

Any alternative remedy will be discussed with you before it is processed.

Return Shipping

For approved change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, PARPLAY will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs or arrange collection where appropriate. New Zealand consumer guidance states that reasonable return costs should be reimbursed when a product is confirmed faulty.
